From the left to the right : Potato`s , Helianthemum, Myosotis, and Chrisanthemum. Farmers have no preference what they grow. The fields and crops are on contract .
Wow this must be fantastic to see.. we have market gardens in our area, but they grow mainly Potato and onions.. not as colourful as these flowers...though the potato flowers are pretty for a short time..
I'm always so astonish how beautiful the rows on rows of different flowers are laid out. all rows of flowers are as far as your eye can see. beautiful blue sky too.
That's a nice pairing of that beautiful sky overlooking the lovely fields. If I understand correctly, the farmer owns the field and plants what he's paid to produce? If so, the crops are paid for in advance?
@pyrrhula That's interesting... I'm wondering if that's done here sometimes. Ken grew up on a farm...he would know more about that than I obviously do! (I asked & he said some farmers will rent part of their land, and in that case, whoever farms it reaps the benefits (or losses)...
@Weezilou I do not know all of it , only what they told and what I`ve read and hear about. For example : On sugar beets the weight (tons) but also the amount of sugar ( in percents) in the beets makes the hight of payment
