Protection and hidden

This farmhouse is build on a place behind the dike ( on the right hand side of the pic.) so it`s protected for/against the water and the trees hide it but is also a protection against the strong winds we often have.
Many farms are sutuated like this one . The flower verge beside the farm field is often done .

This really gives some perspective to how low and flat the fields and the land lies. I like the reddish/orange roof of the farmhouse. It really pops in this shot.

Lovely the way the farmhouse is nestled in the trees. The dyke s keep water out but does the ground water rise? Do they have to drain their fields?
