This is the rear side of the farm of yesterday`s pic. A big barn. The house (front) and barn (rear) is build together as one building and made of bricks and ceramic tiles. This is typical for this area .
This is not a cow farm. They need the barn for storage of the equipment, horses , carriages and the harvest .
I did a pic. of our region farm on : http://365project.org/pyrrhula/365/2015-04-03
Wow I wouldn't have imagined this is what was in the back of the house! Some people would say it is more like a garage in the US- but it would still be a very big one!
A combination of farm house and barn is so unique in your country. I have never seen any in Germany or here in Canada. mind you our province it not strictly farm country like other provinces here. great picture. fav. Ferry.
I have never heard of a home and barn being attached but it makes a lot of sense! This is certainly a fine looking barn. Thank you for all the information you are sharing with us.
This farm and the one in your area look so different and yet the country is small! How interesting that they would vary between regions! The two you've shown us are much prettier than the utilitarian barns we have here for cows, etc.
