Farm and dike.

I `ve done several pic.`s of it in the past. Like it because it`s so typical for our country here. On the other side of the dike is a big sea inlet ; de Ooster Schelde / The Eastern Scheldt.

I love these captures- it's the kind of landscape I love- low ground and wide open sky. Maybe the reason is that some of my ancestors came from the Netherlands so my love for the landscape is in my blood. This is very pretty!

What a pretty photograph, very idyllic. Out of curiosity, what is the level of the water on the other side of the dike? Is the water higher than the level of the land, or does the dike just keep out surging water?
