The verges of the (small) country roads are planted with bushes and trees. Often Thorn trees . The wide is about 7/10 feet - 2 / 3 mtr.
Three of the main use :
1. Protecting the fields off the wind erosion.
2. A hedge to keep the animals inside .
3. The timber that it supply has many uses and is often used as fire wood in winter .
@leananiemand You plant trees and bushes for the purposes they are needed. Fruit trees are trimmed open to get the sun on the fruit . Not a much help for wind breaking and stop the animals for cross over.
