I do n`t know the reason why all those trees has been cut down. I suppose because an illness . But by law ( beside a good reason) every tree has to be replaced.
Was that one of the tree-lined roads you'd photographed in the past?! I'm glad they'll be replaced! I would imagine that in a low-lying country, the roots of trees are necessary to hold the soil in place!
Regarding yuor note on my photo, it's interesting how differently people approach their art work! Years ago, when I was designing clothes, I, of course, had to plan every detail carefully! Making books, I have to plan that, too, But I loved making mixed-media art that included collage...it couldn't really be planned! A piece of this and a scrap of that! Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't! Doing that now in Photo shop is so much easier! In the picture with the squirrel, I relly don't like the way the squirrel turned out, but I love the background! I can cover the squirrel and use that background again somewhere else! SO MANY choices!
Someone is going to be very busy planting saplings soon! I'm glad they have to replace them- the road looks rather bleak with all those sawed-off trees! Still it's a pretty country shot.
I do the same, just planted a new oak in the front to replace the Ash (diseased) that came out this year! A lot of nice nature lines in this with the fields and rows and road!
