Flevoland and Zeeland leaders in onion cultivation
Flevoland and Zeeland are the main Dutch provinces for growing onions with 58.3 percent of the total onion acreage. Since 2000 the area grew in Flevoland with 32.3 percent and in Zeeland with 31.7 percent.Zeeland owes its leading position to trade companies include its strategic location in relation to the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. The intensive cultivation has ensured that thsize.e total area has grown in.

I at first didn't notice them, but after a close look I saw all the onions. I guess I thought they would need to be dug up rather than just picked up off the ground.
