I guest I own you a brief explanation of our fields. They grow all kinds of crops side by side on the fields. And sometimes they are just ploughed. The tulips are grow for the bulbs so when the has bloom the farmer do n`t want to seed them. They want bigger bulbs so the cut off the flower. Instead of this pic. Now they want to harvest te seeds of it. On this pic. : Antirrhinum majus
love the colours of these flowers ... though I would of thought they were wallflowers.. love seeing your flower fields ... very special to have them near you..
Great information again, Ferry. is it every two years the farmer takes the tulip bulbs out? lovely field of Antirrhinums..beautiful variety of colours.
The fields in your area are extremely colourful at this time of the year. And probably changing colour every few days. Must be amazing to be able to walk around the area taking in the view and the aroma. Another gorgeous shot.
I understand what you said about the tulips. I do that with my bulbs - cut the flowers and leave the bulbs in the soil to grow until all the leaves wither.
