Nice shot! The trees look like soldiers standing at attention! I appreciated your comment on black and white vs. color as well. It's true of any shot- a fair amount of subjection goes into any creative choice!
The property where the vines and shack were taken has quite a history. It was originally a dairy farm. In the early 1970's plans were made to dam up the Delaware River and create a large recreational lake. The water would cover most of the farmland that runs along the river here, so the families on these farms were forced to sell their property for less than what it was worth and move. Some of these families had been there for multiple generations. But environmental groups were so upset by what this project would do the land they had all kinds of protests and lawsuits and eventually the project was abandoned. But not before the damage was done to those families. It was a debacle. The land is now part of the National Park Service.
