Mourning doves are the most common bird in our California yard! Without bright colors, and the fact that there are so many, I'm apt to overlook their beauty until I see just one like this! I really love them when they sit and *coo*.

We have so many of them, mostly on the ground feeding from fallen seeds. never see one flying up to our feeders. they fly to the top of our neighbors roof, but never do I see them in our tree.
