These hedges are mechanically pruned. On a tractor is a kind of large hedge trimmer or rotary mower that does the pruning when it drives past. Pruning is also an issue with the fruit trees. This also has to be done every year. Mostly by hand. You can`t get a good harvest without hard works.

A lovely shot of this winding road - fav! In our area the hedges are not trimmed every year - most are done every three years, and like these hedgerows they are mechanically trimmed.
