Prison tower (Vlissingen)
The ``Gevangentoren`` as part of the Westpoort, in the early eighteenth century
The Prison tower on the boulevard in Vlissingen , in the Dutch province of Zeeland , is a remnant of the 16th century Westpoort . The tower, also known as the 'Bomvrij', is constructed alternately from layers of brick and natural stone and has a pointed roof. Today, the national monument is used as a café-restaurant.
Between the buoy`s is the waterway for the sea vessels , They passed very close by.
The arrow pointed out the entrance by the steps.
I notice more and more in this picture as I look at it! The round tower, the modern building farther away, the people, the clouds and water! This is wonderful!
