After the Reformation and the iconoclasm, decorations were no longer desirable in church buildings. Music (consecrated) was allowed so that organs are still there. Our country, and churches, are famous for them .
While the church is quite minimalist in decoration, the organ is rather ornate. Churches in France are particularly decorated with rich tones go gold, red, blue, yellow...certainly a contrast with your pretty church here :-)
@corinnec We have both. Roughly speaking, there is a division between the southern richly decorated Catholic and northern minimalist Protestant churches. Both have their charm. One exuberant, the other subdued.
