It was a beautiful day today so I went for a bike ride. I stopped at a place for view birds but there were no birds about and I had the wrong lens with me anyway. I like the reflection in this small pool which showed the colour of the sky.
I really, really like that patch of blue and the upside-down grasses in the reflection. Is this SOOC or cropped? The foreground vegetation in the lower right is drawing my attention away (others may not be distracted by that) and I'm debating in my mind whether I think cropping it out would help that or would detract from the overall effect. The symmetry of the curve of the pool would be lost... In any case, I'm putting this in my favorites.
@mcsiegle Thanks Mary. The image is cropped slightly along the top but nothing more. After reading your comment I have played with cropping from the right hand side - I think your comment about the curve holds and it is better left uncropped but I also agree about the foreground vegetation. I suppose I need to learn to clone out things like this but that is for another day :) Unfortunately I it is not a place where I could change the vegetation manually because I was standing on a viewing platform and could not get to the pool.
