Canada's Largest Home Can Be Yours!

Canada's largest home is in my hometown of Haileybuury, Ontario. It is the same size as the White House at 55,000 square feet and Bill Gates' property near Seattle. It features a James Bond like boathouse with a rising metal gate large enough to accommodate a 40 foot yacht. This residence has 2 elevators, 30 foot fireplaces in master bedroom and living room, a helicopter pad and an infinity pool overlooking Lake Temiskaming. These are just a few of its features let alone the stunning outdoor architectural setting. It is for sale, Interested??

Thank you for your comments and favs for my photo yesterday " Time to Till". Greatly appreciated.
Might be a tad over my price range Kathy. What a monstrosity!! Lovely spot though.

Wow! Can you imagine how long it would take to clean that house?!! Love the lake view though.

Very interesting ... although I think Diane's description says it well "what a monstrosity!" I wonder who lives there.

Do you have anything larger? What's the price sticker. Perhaps everyone on 365 could chip in and we could have a few hours each. LOL

Kind of industrial looking, but I like it.
May 8th, 2014
Wow...who owns it??
May 8th, 2014
@eyesmile Love your idea. Let's start co-chairing the gathering.

@eyesmile Love your idea!
Quite an amazing POV to have captured this in its entirety. Who currently owns this place?
May 8th, 2014
Amazing shot!! I would hate to have to clean it!!
May 8th, 2014
Wow! Love the pov

Not my type of architecture but an amazing place from what you say. I bet it costs a few pennies. Beautiful capture.

@kwind @taffy @eyesmile it was built by Peter Grant a forest products titan, It was never completed and requires 2 to 3 million to complete.

Wow. So it's a shell! Like an abandoned industrial building. I think a movie producer should buy it; that way it could get used without having to finish it... assuming he wants to make movies about ice and snow. Looks like the water is still covered with ice.
May 8th, 2014
Amazing you could fit it in one shot. Looks like a bit much to care for!
May 8th, 2014
No, I don't think I'm interested, i need only a twenty-foot fireplace :). Also, judging from your well-composed photograph, it looks more like a factory than a home.

Sounds perfect I'm packing my bags

Very nice composition! Is that ice on the lake? I'll send my deposit check if it comes with the helicopter and pilot. Although a 30 foot fireplace in the bedroom doesn't seem like a cozy atmosphere!

So, you're saying this place has never even been lived in. Geesh. What a shame. I'm sorry but the concrete structures here on this side remind me of a water treatment facility. ha Where were you were you took the picture? Roadside? Or from YOUR helicopter pad?

Wow, amazing piece of property!!!
