Aging Gracefully

This old tree growing alongside our lake is of interest to me because of its highly textured bark formations, which appears quite different depending on how the lighting hits the tree. At first I thought it needed a bird or something else of interest but found the tree alone was enough.

I find trees very soothing to look at. They represent things like strength, longevity, gracefulness, with or without leaves. I like how you've filled the image with the trunk and sturdy branches, and whatever processing you chose, it looks great!
