Warmth

Ready for the inevitable, hopefully the snow does not arrive before November! Although not our primary heat source, we are ready for the winter, warms you up splitting it, stacking it, and finally burning it.

Thank you for stopping by...........Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!

A lovely stacking of wood!! Great light on it. Nothing is better then a real wood fire! Looks like you are ready. Boat all put away? Sad, huh? You may have mentioned it earlier and I missed it.

Love this - so simple but interesting and a delight for the owner to have it all stacked.

Nice textures and nice stacking! Our logs are all sorts of shapes and just get heaped up in the log store.

This is a beautiful sight! It really is. When there's a stack of wood out behind my house I feel this sense of accomplishment and safety. Our fireplace has been a wonderful backup heat-source a number of times in winters past. Might I say you have a most organized wood pile!

That's a lot of work. I'll be grateful for my thermostat this winter.

Great texture, pattern, and light.

I know that view! Thanksgiving was always a time to split the wood - that had dried all summer in our field (at my family's cottage - now sold). Hope to one day get a cottage built - but right now we only have a trailer on our land which we close up in October.

@eyesmile Gena the boat has been stored away, fortunately we are getting good use of the canoe, hope it lasts a little longer. We are fortunate to have so many lakes in our area.
Did you enjoy your new boat this summer?
