Grosbeaks in Winter

The the warmth of the grosbeaks coloring caught my eye against the coolness of the woods.

I'd be so thrilled to have these colorful birds in my yard. I have Goldfinches, but they're not so gold this time of year having molted over to their winter attire, which is likely a good thing or they'd stand out like a light bulb and be easy prey for the hawks and kestrels that lurk about on occasion.
