This is my husband taking a photo of the Coloumbia Icefields on our holiday in Alberta, Canada.
It was 27 degrees C (80 F) but standing in front of the glacier it felt more like 5 degrees C (40 F) The winds were ferocious threatening to push him off the rubble left behind by the glacier. These glaciers are receding at a phenomenal rate each year!
This was taken with my new wide angle lens, critique welcome.
Thank you for comments on my photos, I really appreciate your time.
Wonderful first attempt! Do you use LightRoom? If so, there is a very easy way to adjust the lighting across an image, as long as it isn't totally blown out (e.g., no data). Let me know if you want me to walk you through it. I'm actually home all day recouping from the week's work and getting little things done, so email me if you would like to connect. If you can download a free program called Mikogo, we can actually screen-share.
It must be quite amazing to do this. Jeff and I have often talked about taking a cruise up to Alaska to see similar sights but after seeing photos from you and others of this area in Canada I am reconsidering!!
