Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake located off the Icefields Parkway on the way to Jasper, Alberta.
This lake was named after Bill Peyto, an early trail guide and trapper in the Banff area.
During the summer, significant amounts of glacial rock flour flow into the lake, and these suspended rock particles give the lake a bright, turquoise colour.
Do you see the fox?
This was taken with my wide angle lens and processed in lightroom.
Many thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment on my project, I really appreciate it.
Well, yes, he could be a fox. Absolutely beautiful. My mother was lucky enough to visit Banff - would so like to see this gorgeous area. Perfect for the wide-angle lens.
Amazing colors in that lake. But then, the colors are amazing in the vast spread of pines and the hues of the rocks above timberline. I'm not sure I see the fox. There's something on that rock ledge that MIGHt be a little orange wild dog...
