He looks so sweet, especially with that little red patch. How close were you to this little fellow? I see the focal length is not even 70 mm yet you have so much detail. I ask because I just bought a 300 mm lens and am really hit or miss with getting what I had hoped for.
Wow this is a stunning bird shot, the softness is amazing, fav! My bird shot looks so harsh? What type lens did you use? Also do you have any recommendations on how I can improve?
@juleshoogstraanderson thank you for you comment Jules I used my canon PowerShot sx60 camera. It is a bridge camera with a long zoom, you can see my settings under the Exif on the right hand side. When shooting birds I like a high shutter speed around 400 and a high iso to help with movement. I was about 12 feet away from this bird and I cropped it a bit. Hope that helps.
