Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake in Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rockies. The lake itself is easily accessed from the Icefields Parkway. It was named for Bill Peyto, an early trail guide and trapper in the Banff area.
Having a blast with my sisters!
What do you think does this lake look like a dog or fox?
Thanks for your comments and favs on yesterday’s Elgin Arches!
I can see why it might also be know as Wolf Head Lake - those colors are fantastic. The Banff area may have to be on my "must" list soon. (Hope I have enough years to finish all these "Musts"!)
Oh Kathy, this brings back memories of our trips to visit our daughter and her family in Alaska.
I know that viewing this photo doesn't come close to seeing it in person! Beautifully composed! FAV!
