I went for a paddle with my hubby yesterday and I spotted this juvenile eagle waiting patiently on this branch looking for fish moving about below him!
It was so exciting to see him, he blends in very well with the landscape! My hubby was the one who spotted him in the distance!
Excellent shot! We've been watching a webcam of an eagle's nest. The "babies" are now well grown and mostly black- but you can see some of the white feathers underneath. They flap their wings like they're going to fly but so far they have not left the nest. I suppose at some point hunger will motivate them to give flying a try. This fellow is further along than them- he appears larger. Great shot.
