Full Buck Moon by radiogirl

Full Buck Moon

The full Moon in July is called the Buck Moon because the antlers of male deer (bucks) are in full-growth mode at this time. Bucks shed and regrow their antlers each year, producing a larger and more impressive set as the years go by. (According to Wikipedia)

We saw this last night as well over Balsam lake - I think it’s a bit of a fire haze from Ontario forest fires

@pdulis I was wondering why it was so red, but I was unaware of fires nearby?

I was hoping my full moon would also display the red or pink tones that everyone has been talking about but it was a no go- just the usual silvery white beauty in the Poconos. Great shot!
