Saw-whet Owl

This is my husband's photo that some of you have asked to see. He was out splitting wood and heard strange sounds which he thought was our squirrel but when he looked up into the woodpile this little guy was perched no more then 5 feet away,
smallest Owl he has ever seen. He is about 8" in size.
