excellent composition - I might have cropped some of the gray sky off the top - made it more of a panoramic size - that was my first thought, but it's beautiful either way
@moonpig Thanks so much. Big sky, the nobility of trees and my happiness in being enfolded in fog were the things that were driving me. When it came to cropping, though I wasn' t sure of the best visual balance - nothing seemed quite as right as the big sky and I was emotionally connected with it, so it's the best I can do. If I'd taken more ground in the front, it may have been more easily cropped. But I like the lonely strength the big sky lends the gathered trees - as I think you are saying. And in many fewer words - LOL.
