this is an amazing shot - where was it taken? This is very like the jungle area in Nepal! thanks so much for your kind words on my mug shot...really appreciate your support!

@sparkle Thanks Juliette for your kind comment and interest. It was taken in the Oregon Coast Range - off of Hwy. 18 between farmland and coast in the Van Duzer Corridor. The highest point of the range in that area is ony 650 feet. There has been SO much more moss in Oregon over the past year - I've been aware of a lot of ferns growing up in the branches of trees in the Portland area where they'd never have been seen before. Just a lot more precip. at the right time to make all this happen I guess. The moss in that area of forest was just awesome - so thick and padded looking. How interesting that it brings to mind Nepalese jungle.

@reba http://365project.org/sparkle/365/2010-11-13 is the shot i refer too - I thought it would take a long time to get to this state but then I'm reflecting I have some damp places in my garden that grow moss this quickly! it's interesting that we're all experiencing changes in the weather that give us things in our home areas that are slightly unusual!

Wow, that moss is so lush. I want to smell and touch it. thanks for sharing. I never see anything like that in PA where I live.

I saw a lot of these trees along the coastal area and just did not manage to capture them well. You did a much better job than I could do.

Cool--love how you composed them.

so cool Reba! I saw some moss a few weeks ago coming back from Camp 18 that I'd never seen before, almost like Spanish moss, hanging way down from the trees.

@nanalisarocks - Yeah, I think we're entering the age of global mossing.
