sandblast by reba
Almost looks like you've sketched this. Our art teacher often uses glass jars in the still lives she sets up for us. This is a lovely understated picture.

relays the feelings of cold and ice ~ hard to believe it was mostly sand once upon a time . . .

I'm at 78% and I'm thinking the rest of the time may just fly by. I haven't generally responded with thanks to every comment. It's been my way to answer questions and to show my thanks by following and commenting on the photos of those who have so kindly followed and commented on mine. That said, I want to take the opportunity over the next few days while there's still time in my project to say thank you in an individualized way. So here goes:

@janek - we've been following one another for a long time. I know you are a fellow painter so I always have that in mind when I look at your photos and read your comments. Thank you for the obvious care and thought you give to your comments.

@sitiodown - you always make me smile for your wry observations. I like how directly you say what you like about your own photos - you take such clear pleasure in photography and are a unique commenter. Much appreciated.

@brumbe - you have been one of my big inspirations here - not to try to do exactly what you do, but to learn from all that you offer. You're a good teacher and seem like part of the pull that holds 365 in orbit. Especially when I put up an abstract I look forward to seeing what you'll say.

@ladydi53 - thank you for your devotion to commenting - I know it takes a lot of time and I really appreciate your comments.

@terryd - my dear, dear friend - thank you for being my biggest support in photography - I'm afraid you are deluded, but . . .

@christiehicks - i've enjoyed following you so much and really like to hear what you have to say about my photos too; thanks

@beba8162 - we haven't been following one another for very long, but I feel like I live a fantasy existence in Maine through your photos and I love the connection with someone who really knows plants - enjoy you so much

@timandelke - you are a fantastic artist/photographer - i'm inspired by the beauty of your photos; thank you for following me all this time

@chard - you are a genuinely funny person - which rates the highest marks (maybe next to kindness) in my book - you are both. I've loved seeing your part of the world and always look forward to what you have to say.

@adobewaters - you have an amazing way of putting a photo piece together. I've enjoyed so much the time I've spent here in your presence.

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of my project so far and shared your project with me. Over the next few days I'll be giving more individual thank you's. I know it takes a lot of time to be committed to other photographers here and I so appreciate what you've given me.

Fascinating. I like how the light is playing on the bottles and the bit of color.

Reba ~ how nice of you to shout out to your friends like that =) Are you not planning to continue when you complete, or just not sure ~ just preparing.
