Had to go via town to get to work and faced with a twenty minute wait for the bus I decided to wander down to City Square where I chanced upon these two guys keeping an eye on the citizens of Leeds.
They are James Watt (left, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Watt) and John Harrison (right, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Harrison). Coincidentally, I was on my way to record an audio guide to the Royal Observatory, which just happens to be mostly about John Harrison and his work on longitude. The strange thing is I never even knew that the statue was there even after 25 years living here! Good old 365!
The perspective's suing tricks here - that phone box looks tiny- then I realised that it's because the statues are quite a bit in front of the building. Alternatively I'm just gormless
Ha ha, brilliant! I really like this shot, and the details are great, love the bike too! And congrats on the last week.... you going to continue then? I have a feeling you will :-)
@blightygal Well I've got three options. 1. Stop altogether as I'm really busy with work for a while. 2. Carry on posting when i feel like it but not worry about every single day. 3. Do it all again religiously. I'm not sure yet but I think I'd find it hard to stop!
It all works very well.
