Old Hughenden Yard, Marlborough by rich57

Old Hughenden Yard, Marlborough

Year 2 Day 35
A lunch trip with the kids/grandparents. This inviting little alley off Marlborough High St not only has shade and character but a plethora of interesting places. Just in this shot you can see Uptons Leathercraft, Appleby's Cafe, La Petite Fromagerie (great for Gruyere) and Wild Thymes (THE place for Taleggio!). I wanted to go and grab that table on the little roof terrace but the kids were feeling the heat so we decided to head home. I'm promising myself I'll come back some time...

Love little places like this - not a Costa in sight (well I like Costa but still - good it hasn't invaded here. Amazing isn't it that it's now hot enough to cross over and walk in the shade - in April!!

Hometown, been going to that Applebys cafe since I was little, great shot of the street :) there used to be a sweet shop nearby where I'd buy sugarmice.
