The Wait by rich57

The Wait

Waiting for a bus in Headingley this morning. I saw two buses at the stop as i was crossing the road but wasn't quick enough, then had to wait ages for the next one. Oh I feel like a living cliche (in reverse)! Was quite foggy but not as bad as elsewhere in Leeds. I like all the different reds in this and the hands-free cyclist!

The Wait is also a track by Killing Joke who i used to like a lot when I was still a teenager. I remember the singer disappearing to Iceland in the 80s as he thought the apocalypse was coming and that Iceland would be the safest place to be! Not sure if that was before or after they played Swindon!

Keep thinking about taking my P&S with me to get some street shots - not brave enough to take out the SLR...

@andycoleborn I've tried walking round with my DSLR slung over my shoulder and taking shots but really that only works in central London where every other person is carrying a camera!

@rich57 Know what you mean, around tourist parts i can happily snap away, elsewhere, I feel too uncomfortable..

never thought red looks this attractive, but look at this pic: the red phone booth, red coat, red hat, red lights, and even the red head! totally cool!

@andycoleborn @rich57 I know what you guys mean. I always feel uncomfortable taking photos on non-turistic areas. Everyone looks at what I'm doing and wonders why lol.

About this one. I really love the fog but especially the guy on the bike, great capture of that

I have to say, this a great example of what I miss out on by living in small town America, the hustle and bustle is at a much slower pace. Then again, there's no such thing as traffic jams.

Good street pic - those bright colours do stand out in the gloom.

Wonderful shot of the no hands cyclist. What a show off! I love this stree shot as most everyone is looking in the other direction of the cyclist... Nicely done.

This is really cool - I'm looking at the right hand side of the frame - the 'depth of field' is great - lots of rich colour and detail.

I want a new camera :(
