This was the best cafe we visited in Scarborough. But funnily enough the coffee was average (5.5/10) and we didn't try the ice-cream (too early on Sunday morning) and didn't even see the loos. It was down to the decor (8/10, old style American Diner I'd guess, but in a good understated way) and the lovely staff (9/10). The menu included tea and coffee as expected but also had horlicks, oxo and bovril! A sign of both the age of their patrons and the weather on the north east coast! I definitely want to go back for a Knickerbocker Glory whilst looking out to sea...
Looks like a fun place to hang and watch the crouds go by. I have no IDEA what an oxo, horlick or bovril is much less a knickerbocker glory. Clearly a little time on wikipedia is needed for me.
