Telegraph poles

This is just at the back of where we stayed in Mablethorpe at around sunset. I think this is the first landscape I have taken that I like.
Nice perspective, shows lots of depth. Like the colors too, and the taller grass in the foreground.

I'm a bit worried they are going to fall down. They are leaning over quite a bit. Nice open space with the leading lines.

This is good. I love the perspective of the poles against the sunset.

Hello,
I saw this in the discussion group "The Shot that must have missed"

I can tell you why it misses with me if you wish?

First, I really like the colors. The hues in the sky are pretty, and I like the full spectrum of colors including the green foreground running the the purple in the sky. Very cool.

It's just a little bit before or after golden hour, and the light is weak. The sky is pretty, and very tranquil. However, it lacks body. It is all sort of the same color and there are no clouds (unfortunately) or any type of life to the sky. It's just smooth, even, cool purple. And yes, that is awesome. But, it's like vanilla. I love vanilla, but it's just plain old vanilla no matter what you do to it.

Also, I like the leading lines as well, but the wires drop out through the photo. Maybe stronger leading lines would have held my interest longer?

Honestly, I like the photo. But I feel that I don't really know what the subject is.

And the contrast is very low. Nothing is high or low .. it is just smooth all the way across. Increase the contrast, and whites, lower the blacks to give this more pop and depth. I think it would look really nice.

Hope you don't mind the criticism. Follow me as I complete my project and you will have PLENTY of opportunity to do the same.
Thanks,
Adam
