Rusty Horseshoe

This tree wasn't so lucky. Not sure how the horseshoe was able to stay in place this long, but somehow, no one disturbed it, and the tree grew around it.

Ah, yes! — rust! I don't know that I would've identified the metal as being a horseshoe if you hadn't said so. Can't help but wonder who it got there and what it in place long enough for the tree to grow around it.
