Tried my other pier tonight, but the sun still has not moved back around to the optimum position. At least, after the sun had set, these clouds which are 90 degrees away from the sunset, lit up for a short time. Fortunately, there were quite a few of the jet trails, so that added a lot to the cloud cover in this direction.
Like the smoothness of this shot and it looks terrific against black. Hope your weather doesn't get too cold this weekend - we have 2 days of below freezing in the forecast and then back up again.
