Buzzards! by rickster549

Buzzards!

Had these two fellows fly up just overhead. Not the prettiest, but are somewhat of a stately bird.
Another really good picture. The leafy branches frame him nicely, and the bokeh-background has made an excellent backdrop. A Fav! for the excellent photography work.

Not pretty at all, but as you said, stately. And an excellent photo of them.

Haha! When I see it, I have to put my naturalist's hat on. Black Vultures are wonderful. All vultures are wonderful. Gross, yes but we need them the most. There are no buzzards native to North America. Buzzard in fact means hawk. Hawks in Europe amd Africa are called buzzards. Vultures are vultures. Vultures are never buzzards. It would be more accurate to mistakenly call a Red Tail Hawk a buzzard. I jist restarted my project and one of the first pics I posted is of an Augur Buzzard. It's a beautiful shot! I'm following you now.
