Well it used to be. This is a sculpture to celebrate Corby's steel heritage. The Stewarts and Lloyds steel works one employed over 10,000 people until the late 70's when most of it closed down resulting in a catastrophic loss of jobs in the area. It's now quite a thriving industrial town and is more or less fully recovered from the loss of the works.
