John O'Gaunt viaduct by rjb71

John O'Gaunt viaduct

The same viaduct from yesterday's shot. John O'Gaunt viaduct in Leicestershire. This viaduct was part of the southern section of the Great Northern and London line from Melton Mowbray. It was once a grade 2 listed structure but that was withdrawn in 1999. Looking at it close up its in a poor state and I suspect will eventually be demolished.
Intersting shot, nicley composed

Lovely shot with the repeating arches! A shame these things aren’t preserved, but I suppose not everything can be!
