When mounting a camera and lens with image stabilisation on a tripod always turn it off! This was the best of 50 shots in the snow covered park and is still rather soft but I like the composition so am posting anyway :)
There is beauty in the softness of this shot, I like it! I find that I shoot so little with a tripod that I am all fingers and thumbs when I do, i sometimes think I should write out a what to do list...lol!
I have been caught by that many times or forgetting to turn it back on once off the tripod.
This is a great wintery shot. Like the glow from the light.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond@redandwhite Thanks. The image stabilisation allows a lower shutter speed to he used by compensating for the movement of the camera when handheld. Sometimes when mounted on the tripod it confuses the system and it tries to compensate for movement that isn't there hence blurring the shot. My Nikon lenses don't generally give any issues but this Sigma seems a bit more sensitive.
