Not unusual to see limpkins in swampy areas with lots of snails, but I've never seen one in our residential neighborhood before. Not sure where it was going, but sure hope it got there o.k.
All the limpkin I've seen in the past have been knee high or more in tall swamp grass. First time I've actually seen their legs. A different look, for sure.
