These 2 seem to be younger than the group of 8 I saw yesterday; maybe only a week old or so.(?)
Parents first reaction was to hide in the underbrush, then when it looked I wasn't fooled, they swam off.

Thanks for the kind comments. I often tell people that the two best pieces of photographic equipment I own are my binoculars (so I can tell what I should be paddeling out to investigate), and the rudder on my kayak, so I can glide in close without having to paddle.
