Thanks, All, for stopping in and taking the time to comment. I'm my own worst critic and it's been days since I really felt good about my daily contribution. As for the tail, Paula, yes, but what really impressed me was the NAILS!
He's like you...."at last, the sun"....and he's totally enjoying it! Or maybe a female that has just completed laying eggs and is exhausted! Any way you look at it, it's a great capture! The details you can see when viewed large are awesome. Have to Fav it for all that! Love it.

Maggiemae, "paddles" yes. Paddles with claws! ;-) Even the little painted turtles have the claws, but the snappers raise them to an art form!
