We ran into all sort of wild turkeys when we were in the Smokies a few weeks back. . .they really have some beautiful coloring, but the more I looked at my pictures, the more I realized that I really didn't think much of how they looked! I'm so prejudiced, I guess! ;->

Thanks for all the comments. At this point I'm assuming they all rode out the storm in fine style. Other than some rain and a bit of wind we all escaped unharmed. Even my my sister, in S. Connecticut but away from coast, never lost power and only one large tree gone that needed to come down anyway.

There is a hunting season, so there's always the chance that one of them might end up on the dinner table, but unlikely. Not a lot of hunting activity around here. Just as well by me! Happy Halloween and H. Thanksgiving when it comes!
