Eagle Chick, Out of Nest and Unable to Fly

I called our local eagle rescue group. They assured me that predators would leave little more than a pile of feathers by morning. I went out with them in the evening and we were able to find it. It had been attacked by something but damage wasn't severe. They expect release in about a month.
Thank heavens they came out and rescued it...doesn't look in too bad a shape there...still has attitude! Good call Rob.

@lynnb @morrisroos He looked much worse after being attacked by (?)
At the time this shot was taken his only problem was a broken leg bone and the inability to fly. Thanks for your kind words.

@cheribug Those people do great work! I wonder sometimes how they find time to eat and sleep; when you call, they're there!
