For years Pineland Center was a residential complex serving the states disabled population. Fortunately "mainstreaming" is the rule of the day and the complex is now home to a wonderful organic farm, a beautiful garden and a number of small businesses.
@mandyj92 Thanks, Amanda. As for the horror stories, I can well imagine. I did volunteer work in Belchertown, Mass. back in the '60's. Similar kind of set up, and before I retired I worked with a lot of the folks who would have been residents there back in the day. Some things are getting better! ;-)
