Banded Water Snake?

I didn't know our Maine snakes grew this large. Not easy to tell from the photo, but this guy looked to be about 3 1/2' long. His was with 3 others; 2 of about the same size and one much smaller, maybe 18".

I was tempted to crop out the blue kayak, but that would have meant losing the reflection of the snake in the water.
