Tri-colored Heron

Not uncommon in this part of the country, but the first time I've seen one hanging around our neighborhood .
Fun to watch. Tends to run along the shoreline in a few inches of water where our usual little blue heron slowly stalks.

Have only seen one - right on the shoreline - smaller - had to look him up. This is a nice shot of thim.
