These Northern Shovelers actively circling on the surface to feed by pushing their bills through the water, straining out food . Fun to watch these ducks
circle about, stirring up mud with their feet.

My husband had explained this to me when the pelicans did something similar getting into a circle to corral the fish. So neat to see.
