I noticed as a walked through a nice stand of hardwoods how very quiet it was. Nothing stirring or chirping only a woodpecker drumming in the distance at first. The whole walk saw no wildlife and so very quiet. Did notice dried leaves from a big broken branch standing out in the green leaves of summer. It happened to match my mood.
