Poppy Day (as I've always known it) is a day of remembering. Remembering those who have given their lives in the service of our country, and all those still serving.
It would have been my dear dad's 101st birthday today, so Poppy Day is always poignant. I last saw him 34 years ago, on this very day.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
